MEET THE TEAM
Mr. Claude Eksteen (RSA) has competed on an International sporting stage for more than 20 years, having won multiple National and International Titles as a professional Triathlete.
Having made the transition to Obstacle Course Racing in 2013, Claude very quickly established himself as one of the best OCR athletes in South Africa and one of the fastest 40 year old athletes in the World.
Claude is highly motivated and passionate about OCR and helping develop the sport from grass roots level
Mr James Meredith (RSA) is a Design Engineer in the Plastic Injection Moulding industry. He is an avid OCR athlete and dedicates the majority of his spare time to training for the sport that he loves. He has been part of the AOT Pro Team since 2016, and competes in both local and international OCR events, which includes three OCR World Championships. James is the 2019 age group 3km & 15km World Champion. James has always excelled in sport and is a triple black belt in Karate and a Springbok Scout. His other sporting passion is rock climbing, where he uses his skills as a volunteer for the KZN Mountain Search and Rescue Team.
Mr Alan Phillips (RSA), started his OCR journey in 2014 as cross training to improve his running. Got hooked and trains and races OCR as often as he can while still trying to get in as much Trail running as possible although currently that takes the backseat to OCR. Other sports passion besides OCR is baseball where he represented South Africa at the World Cup in Italy 1998 and also enjoys a round of golf when time allows. Has also been involved in various coaching/admin positions for various clubs/associations and hopes to apply this to growing the Sport of OCR in South Africa.
Ms. Jodi Davidson (RSA) is a Trainee Accountant with the hopes of becoming a CA (SA). After school she completed a Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree followed by Honours in Accounting. Jodi is the defending 2019 15km age group OCR World champion, 2018 3km Age Group Silver Medallist and 2 x South African age group Champion (18-24). Jodi represents the Pro Team for Adventure Obstacle Training (AOT) in Durban. She loves all things sport, having also being selected on multiple occasions to represent SA as a tennis player. She has a healthy addiction to fitness, sunshine and challenging her limits

Multiple Elite international podiums. He is one of the most respected OCR athletes, not only locally but under the international community as well, a honest raw passion for his sport and a positive influence to all his relationships and sponsors.

Ricardo Gressel (aka WarriorRic) is well known for his unique brand of inspiration and motivation helping to transform individuals and organizations to be their best. A Stanford University graduate from the US, Ric has lived in South Africa for almost 20 years working in personal branding, marketing and most recently as motivator and life coach to develop leaders from young high school learners to accomplished business professionals. He is the MC and brand ambassador for Warrior Race, SA’s largest OCR series now in its 8th year, plus MC and commentator for Spar Women’s Challenge and the internationally renowned Comrades Marathon.
